But just to be clear, this Is only when using the interface outside of pro tools. I've confirmed this with other mbox 2 pro users on the forum also. Sound comes out fin using itunes, windows media player etc, but if you pause the audio or video then it won't resume afterwards. The other issue is when using the mbox as the main sound card for the computer. It still happens on occasion, but is a bit random. I found the only way to get it to work was to open a certain session that always seemed to work off the bat. The session will playback but no sound comes from the interface. The issues are these often, when opening a session the mbox does not seem to spring into life, the lights are on but nobody is home.

I filed a case ages ago with tech support regarding what appear to be driver issues with the mbox 2 pro with any version of pro tools under windows 7 64bit since the first release (8.0.4). Just wondering maybe if DTS might be able to chime in here. What do you get for Transmit Rate and MCS Index? What do you get from RSSI and signal-to-noise? What do you get for PHY Mode and channel? Then get this information from that display (or post a screenshot):

In your NEW post, include the Make&Model of your Mac Pro and the MacOS you are running. You get a display similar to this older one: Hold down the Option key and click on the Wi-Fi icon in the Menubar. But you should post this on a new thread, to get the attention you deserve. Gross problems can be diagnosed with a snapshot of your current Wi-Fi environment. A few reported here have been the reverse - due to being less than a few feet from the Router, the signal was too "loud" and it overwhelmed the receiver. Others may be using good modern Routers but are too far from their Router or have too much solid construction in the way so the signal is too low. Most pernicious Wi-Fi connection problems are NOT due to bad hardware, but are typically due to a terrible Wi-Fi environment.īy this I mean users are trying to run on only 2.4GHz with a dozen neighbors fighting over the three available channels.
